ANA GALLINA | DESIGNER
Artist's Statement
I am primarily a Graphic Designer, but I am also an Illustrator, and a UX/UI Designer. I primarily use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop as well as Adobe XD and pen and paper. I believe that communication is Graphic Design’s ultimate purpose which is visible in my work and my penchant for typography.

My artistic process begins with creating a mood board of work by other artists for inspiration. I find works that are like what I’m trying to create and Frankenstein my favorite aspects of each piece into several sketches. I then make a few roughs and select one concept to fully commit to. I tend to spend most of my time on my roughs and final product. Creating a piece from start to finish usually takes me several days.

My artist philosophy is to be clever, playful, and clear with my work. I would describe my work as minimal-ish and functional. The ultimate goal of my work is to communicate. What I communicate differs with each piece, but I aim to communicate clearly and to never take myself too seriously.
